Angelina Jason

Angelina has been a part of International Dance Academy for over a decade, and has extensive experience in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theatre.

She has been a recipient of special awards and placements at local and out of town competitions, including scholarships by the Lakehead Festival of Music and the Arts for her musical theatre and character ballet performances.

In her earlier years as a teaching assistant, she was awarded Junior Teaching Assistant at IDA. Angelina has trained and been examined in Cecchetti ballet and ADAPT jazz and tap, holding successful completion of ballet exams at the major level and jazz.

She has completed the Teaching Assistant program through ADAPT, and most recently has been certified in Early Childhood Dance Education Foundations, as well as certification in Hip Hop and Tap through Discover Dance.

Outside of the studio, Angelina has performed in musicals such as Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio and Annie, as co-choreographer. She is currently the choreographer for Westgate High School’s upcoming musical.

Angelina is also trained in instrumental music, including trumpet and bass guitar. In addition, Angelina has had opportunity to assist with various projects in the community, including working with children through summer school programs with Lakehead Public Schools and dance camps.

Angelina is excited to continue teaching and mentoring our students with the joy of dance in a positive, enthusiastic and inclusive approach.
