Macey Culhane

Instructor, Choreographer

Born and raised in North Bay, Ontario, Macey trained in a variety of dance disciplines since the age of five. In 2015, Macey graduated with honours from the Performance Dance Studies program at George Brown College under the direction of Derek Sangster. She has also completed Kenny Pearl’s Emerging Artists Intensive working with Gadfly and Ryan Lee, and ProArte Danza’s Summer Intensive Program. 

Macey has also performed in various Toronto festivals including Blueprint: An evening of emerging dance (2015), Fresh Blood (2015), and Dance Ontario (2016). In 2017, she completed Decidedly Jazz Danceworks Professional Training Program in Calgary, Alberta. Macey is also a dance teacher and award-winning choreographer. In 2017, Macey was awarded Choreography of the Year at the View Dance Challenge for her contemporary work Jungle. She has choreographed numerous productions including Pippin (2014), Big Fish (2017), and Mamma Mia (2019) presented by Theatre Outreach Onstage (TOROS). Macey is a passionate dance educator who enjoys sharing her knowledge with students.
